The website price in Pakistan for a basic business website is roughly PKR 25,000 to 100,000 in the first year, domain and hosting included. A small online store costs about PKR 50,000 to 200,000, and large stores or custom-built websites start around PKR 200,000. After launch, a small site needs roughly PKR 7,000 to 12,500 a year for the domain and hosting, plus any paid plugin licences and maintenance.

Those are market ranges from published price guides, and they are wide for a reason. This guide breaks the website price in Pakistan into its parts, explains why two quotes for the “same” website can differ by PKR 100,000, and lists the costs most quotes leave out, so you can compare offers properly. We build WordPress and custom websites for businesses in Pakistan and abroad, and these are the questions clients ask us most before they commit.

How much does a website cost in Pakistan in 2026?

The table gives typical first-year costs by type of website, including the domain, hosting and the build. The ranges come from GoDaddy’s guide to website costs in Pakistan (December 2025), and they match what local hosting companies publish.

Inside each band, three things move the price more than anything else: how many unique page designs you need, who writes and prepares the content, and how much custom functionality the site has.

What are you actually paying for?

Every website quote is made of the same parts. Some are paid once, some every year, and some are optional.

CostTypical price in PakistanHow often
Domain name (.com)From about PKR 1,800Every year
Shared hostingPKR 3,500 to 10,000Every year
Premium WordPress themePKR 7,000 to 15,000Once or yearly, depending on the licence
Paid pluginsPKR 2,000 to 10,000 eachUsually yearly
Page builder licence (for example Elementor Pro)Around PKR 10,000Every year
Design and developmentThe biggest variable: from a few thousand for a template setup to several hundred thousand for custom workOnce
Content writing and photosFree if you supply them, otherwise quoted separatelyOnce
Maintenance and updatesPKR 1,500 to 30,000Monthly, optional

Prices are from the same GoDaddy guide. If you only sell in Pakistan, a .pk or .com.pk domain is a good alternative to .com.

Why do website quotes in Pakistan vary so much?

  • Template setup or real design. Installing a theme and swapping in your logo takes a day. Designing pages around your services, customers and sales process takes longer, costs more, and is usually what makes a site bring in inquiries.
  • Number of unique pages. Ten pages that share one layout cost far less than ten pages with their own layouts and content.
  • Who prepares the content. Text, photos and product data are often the slowest part of a project. If the developer writes it, that is real work and should be in the quote.
  • Features. Online payments, bookings, Urdu or Arabic versions, member areas and links to your accounting software or CRM all add cost.
  • Speed and SEO groundwork. A site that loads fast on a mid-range phone and is set up properly for Google takes more care than one that only looks good on the developer’s laptop.
  • Who builds it. A freelancer, a small studio and a large agency have different overheads, processes and support.
  • Support after launch. Some quotes include weeks of fixes and training. Others end the day the site goes live.

What does a WordPress website cost in Pakistan?

WordPress itself is free, open-source software released under the GPL licence. What you pay for is the hosting, the domain, any premium theme or plugins, and the time to design, build and fill the site. For a typical business site of 5 to 15 pages, that puts a WordPress website in Pakistan in the PKR 25,000 to 100,000 range for the first year.

Watch the yearly licences. Many WordPress sites are built with a premium page builder and several paid plugins, and each of those renews every year. A custom-coded theme, which is how we build our custom projects, avoids most of those renewals, so from the second year you mainly pay for the domain and hosting.

If you need a WordPress site quickly, our WordPress website in 24 hours offer covers up to 15 pages matched to a design you like, and you pay only after you approve the finished site.

What does an e-commerce website cost in Pakistan?

An online store costs more than a business site because every product needs data, photos and a page, and because checkout has to work every single time. For a small or medium store, plan for PKR 50,000 to 200,000 in the first year. The choices that move the price most are:

  • Platform. WooCommerce runs on your own WordPress hosting with no monthly platform fee. Shopify is a hosted service with a monthly subscription billed in US dollars, plus paid apps for many features.
  • Payments. Cash on delivery costs nothing to set up. Card and wallet payments need a merchant account with a bank or payment gateway, which has its own approval process and transaction fees.
  • Product count and data. Uploading 30 products is a different job from importing 3,000 with sizes, colours and stock levels.
  • Delivery and order flow. Courier integration, order confirmation messages and stock syncing with a shop or warehouse add development time.

We cover store builds, product SEO and checkout speed on our e-commerce page.

Which costs do most website quotes leave out?

  • Domain and hosting renewals from the second year.
  • Yearly licences for premium themes, page builders and plugins.
  • Business email accounts (many hosting plans include basic email, but not all).
  • Copywriting, product photos and translations.
  • Backups, security monitoring and updates.
  • Changes after launch, such as new pages or a new service.
  • Search engine optimization and Google Business Profile setup.
  • Advertising budget, if you plan to run Google or Meta ads to the site.

None of these are a reason to avoid a website. They are a reason to ask for them in writing, so you can compare quotes on the same basis.

How much do a domain and hosting cost in Pakistan?

Every website needs a domain name and hosting, and they are the costs you pay every year for as long as the site is online. Here is what each one costs in Pakistan, what to look for and the renewal traps to avoid.

How much does a .pk domain cost?

PKNIC’s own price list is clear: “For domain registrants based in Pakistan, a domain fee of Rs. 2100 per year will be charged”, and “the fee is charged on a biennial basis (two-year period) and can be paid up to a maximum of ten years” (PKNIC). The price rose by Rs 300 a year on 1 August 2026, from Rs 1,800. Registrants outside Pakistan pay US$15.99 a year. You can buy directly from PKNIC or through its authorised resellers, who may bundle hosting or add a service fee.

DomainWhere to buyTypical priceBilling
.pk or .com.pkPKNIC or an authorised resellerRs 2,100 a year (Rs 4,200 for two years)Every two years, up to ten years ahead
.comInternational registrars and local resellersFrom about PKR 1,800 a yearYearly, or several years ahead
Special endings such as .ai or .ioInternational registrarsMuch higher than .comYearly

The .com price is from GoDaddy’s guide to website costs in Pakistan (December 2025). Always check the renewal price, not just the first-year offer.

.pk or .com: which domain should you choose?

  • You only sell in Pakistan: a .pk or .com.pk domain signals a local business to customers and to Google.
  • You sell abroad too, export, or work with international clients: choose .com, which is neutral about location.
  • Both matter: register both, use one as the main address and redirect the other to it.
  • Keep it short and easy to say. Avoid hyphens and numbers, and check the same name is free on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.

How much does web hosting cost in Pakistan?

Hosting typeGood forTypical yearly cost (PKR)
Shared hostingCompany websites and blogs with modest traffic3,500 to 10,000
Cloud, VPS or managed WordPress hostingOnline stores, busy sites, custom softwareMore than shared, up to about 100,000

Shared hosting means your site shares a server with others. It is the right start for most business websites. Move up when your store, traffic or software needs guaranteed resources, not because a sales page says “unlimited”.

What should a hosting plan include?

  • A free SSL certificate that renews automatically, so your site always loads on https.
  • Daily backups you can restore yourself, stored away from the main server.
  • A current PHP version (8.x) and enough memory for WordPress and WooCommerce.
  • SSD or NVMe storage and a server location reasonably close to your visitors.
  • Business email, if you do not already use a separate email service.
  • A staging site for testing changes before they go live.
  • Clear limits: storage, number of websites, monthly visits and file counts.
  • Support that answers during your working hours, by chat or WhatsApp.

Watch the renewal price

Many hosts advertise a low first-year price and renew at a much higher one. Before you buy, look up the renewal rate, the price of the plan you will actually need in two years, and whether paying for several years upfront locks in the lower rate. A cheap first year is not a saving if moving away later costs you a weekend and a broken site.

Register the domain and hosting in your own name

The person named as the domain’s registrant owns it. If a developer registers your domain in their own account and you later part ways, getting it back can take weeks. To stay in control:

  1. Create the registrar and hosting accounts in your own or your company’s name, with an email address you control.
  2. Turn on two-factor authentication and automatic renewal.
  3. Give your developer access as a user, not ownership.
  4. Keep contact details current. PKNIC itself stresses that “it is vital that the contact data is up to date”, because renewal and dispute notices go there.

Do you need to buy hosting before hiring a developer?

No. A good developer will tell you what the site needs and help you buy the right plan in your name. We launch every site on the client’s own domain and hosting, and if you do not have them yet, we help you choose and set them up as part of our website development service.

Worked example: what a 10-page business website costs in year one and after

Here is how a typical 10-page WordPress website for a service business adds up, using the market prices above. The build fee of PKR 20,000 to 60,000 is an assumption for this example; your quote depends on the points in the previous sections.

ItemFirst year (PKR)Each year after (PKR)
Domain (.com)1,800 to 2,5001,800 to 2,500
Shared hosting5,000 to 10,0005,000 to 10,000
Theme and plugin licences, premium setup renewed yearly10,000 to 25,00010,000 to 25,000
Theme and plugin licences, custom-coded theme and free plugins00
Design, build and content setup20,000 to 60,0000
Total with premium licences36,800 to 97,50016,800 to 37,500
Total without paid licences26,800 to 72,5006,800 to 12,500

Maintenance is not included; if you pay someone to update and back up the site, add that monthly fee. The lesson from the table: two sites with the same build price can cost very different amounts from year two, depending on the licences they rely on.

How do you pay for a website safely?

  • Register the domain in your own name and keep the login. Whoever controls the domain controls the website and your email.
  • Get admin access to the hosting and WordPress at handover, not “later”.
  • Agree the scope in writing: pages, features, who supplies the content, the number of revision rounds and the delivery date.
  • Pay against milestones, or better, after you have reviewed the finished site on a preview link.
  • Ask what happens after launch: who fixes bugs, who updates plugins and what changes cost.

Our own rule on the 24-hour WordPress offer is simple: you pay nothing upfront. You review the site on a private preview link, ask for changes, and pay only after you approve it.

Questions to ask before you accept a website quote

  1. Exactly which pages and features are included?
  2. Will the design be built for my business, or is it a template with my logo?
  3. Who writes the text and supplies the photos?
  4. Which paid themes or plugins will the site depend on, and what do they cost each year?
  5. Will the site load quickly on a phone, and how will you test that?
  6. Is basic SEO included: page titles, descriptions, a sitemap and Google Search Console?
  7. Will the domain and hosting be in my name?
  8. How many rounds of changes are included, and what does support cost after launch?

Can you get a website in 24 hours?

Yes, if the scope is clear and the content is ready. A WordPress site of up to 15 pages, built to match a layout you already like, is realistic in a day because the design decisions are already made. That is how our 24-hour WordPress website works: you send a reference link and your content, we build it, and you pay after approval. Online stores, custom features and larger sites take longer, and we agree that timeline in writing before starting. Wondering how close to a reference site you can legally go? Read is it legal to copy a website design.

Summary

The website price in Pakistan depends far more on scope than on the platform. Expect roughly PKR 25,000 to 100,000 for a small business website in the first year, PKR 50,000 to 200,000 for a small online store, and PKR 200,000 or more for large stores and custom builds. Compare quotes on the same list of pages, features, content and yearly licences, keep the domain in your name, and pay against a finished result.
